The first activity started by the trust is to provide Computer education in the village school free of cost by providing five brand new computers and a teacher in 2005. We also provide part of the salary of the teacher who takes care of Basic Computer Skills in the Government Higher primary School Inna. The purpose is to improve awareness and to remove fear of using computer.
The second activity being conducted is Spoken English workshops of 21 days’ duration in summer vacations in four high schools at Inna, Palimar, Belman and Kedinje. About 500 to 650 students take the benefit of this course every year. This is our flagship program. We also distribute Writing note books to all successful participants at the end of the program. Free Book Distribution Program is done along Belman Jaycees in the name of Shri Dayanand Rao and Shri Dinesha Rao. The purpose is to make Kannada Medium Students to speak in English and to improve their confidence level to face the world. For ten years we also organized Special coaching classes(Free) at four High Schools in Mathematics and Science. This was appreciated by all. The support was discontinued after Government made
coaching (by teachers) compulsory in those schools.
The third activity was to support the Village Panchayat’s effort of providing Toilets for 50 Below the Poverty Line (BPL) families. We have provided assistance to build 10 such toilets.
We partially support a “Veda Pata Shala” at Padubidri which benefits about 30 to 40 students every year to learn basics of Vedic Rituals
